Wonder’s Call

All of creation declares God’s faithfulness. Praise him for who he is and what he has done. Trust and obey him and you’ll experience his abundant life.

Empty Spaces

Only God, who loves you and created you, can fill the void in your heart.

Brittle Reeds

Pursue what’s good and loving, but do it in God’s strength and not your own. You are self-serving and prone to fail, but God is selfless, loving, faithful, and effective.

Our words and actions flow from what’s in our hearts, therefore we desperately need a new heart from God in order to speak and act with truth and love.

Don’t let fear paralyze or defeat you. Courage is not the absence of fear, but the resolve and strength to work through the fear and move forward.

Ant Parade

A teenage girl who is sick in bed learns from simple ants that you can glean something good from what seems bad, if you reframe your perspective.

Fever’s got me pinned in bed
While my friends are out tonight.
Party lights and laughter shared
And I’m stuck here – what a plight!

Then I spot a tiny line
Marching boldly up my wall
Black invaders on parade
Ceiling, window, nightstand, all.

Sometimes life’s not what you planned
But wisdom comes in strange disguise
Watch the little things at hand

Ants become my sole amusement.
First I wanted them all gone
