Blessed to Give Back
by Mark Greenelsh ©2024
We are blessed by God to be a blessing. By his grace and power we should use the time, talents, treasure, and tasks he’s entrusted us to serve others. All for his glory.
___________________________________
(Verse 1)
Let’s raise our voices in a joyful song,
Celebrating the gifts that to us belong.
God’s blessings abound: time and talents,
Treasure, and tasks, entrusted to us.
(Verse 2)
A teenage boy, with passion afire,
Volunteers his skills. He works and aspires.
Lifting the needy, lending a hand,
Echoing kindness across the land.
Echoing kindness across the land.
(Chorus)
Use our gifts with grace, to serve and invest,
In others’ lives, as we’ve been blessed.
All for God’s glory, our hearts unite,
Shining His love, a saving light.
(Verse 3)
A single mother, her strength divine,
Tough yet tender, holding the line.
Working for their future not yet seen.
Sacrificing all for her kids well-being. Well-being.
(Verse 4)
A retired man, wisdom in his eyes,
Tasks undertaken, no goal too high.
Mentoring youth, sharing his story,
Leaving a legacy for God’s glory.
(Bridge)
But when obstacles arise, and darkness looms near,
Rely on God’s guidance, His presence so dear.
He’ll grant us strength, to be bold and endure,
His grace is sufficient, his love secure.
(Chorus)
Use our gifts with grace, to serve and invest,
In others’ lives, as we’ve been blessed.
All for God’s glory, our hearts unite,
Shining His love, a saving light.
(Outro)
All for God’s glory, our hearts unite,
Shining His love, a saving light.

“I believe in Christianity as I believe that the Sun has risen, not only because I see it but because by it I see everything else.” —C.S. Lewis

(Verse 1)
Lost in shadows of my own making,
Deserving death for paths I’ve trod.
Yet your hand reached through my breaking,
To reveal my life’s facade.
(Verse 2)
Not just saved from death, but for glory,
To abundant life you’ve called my name.
You’re the wellspring of love’s story,
Beauty and goodness are your domain.
(Verse 3)
You’ve removed my scales that blinded,
Granted sight beyond my veil.
Now I see with heart enlightened
Of your love that cannot fail.
(Chorus)
Like the sunrise lets me see
Not just itself, but all around,
By your light, I now can be
Awake to all that truly counts.
(Verse 4)
Trusting you is not a mental crutch
Or a clever thought imagined.
It’s a rich, living relationship
The truest bond I’ll ever find.
(Verse 5)
Beyond philosophy’s reaching,
Past science’s careful measure.
You provide what transforms me
To honor you is my pleasure!
(Bridge)
Like waking from a dreamer’s sleep,
You transcend all reasoning.
You answer questions buried deep,
Fulfill what my soul is seeking.
(Verse 6)
You’ve invited me to mission,
To seek the lost as I was sought.
To serve with humble submission,
Sharing grace that can’t be bought.
(Chorus)
Like the sunrise lets me see
Not just itself, but all around,
By your light, I now can be
Awake to all that truly counts.
He Calls My Name

(Verse 1)
In the garden tomb, amidst tears and deep despair,
I searched for Jesus, but found he wasn’t there.
A figure, a gardener, caught my eye,
“Where is Jesus?” I pled, not to be denied.
The man replied, and in his voice peace reigned
He calmed my heart speaking “Mary,” my name.
Desperate to see, my eyes beheld God’s Son,
It was Jesus, my savior, the King now risen.
(Verse 2)
In sickness, I did lay, fading fast with each sun’s ray.
My sisters sent for Jesus, please come they prayed.
I knew his love for me, yet he waited to arrive.
Heartbroken, confused. I closed my eyes, and died.
Days passed, then Jesus came, in glory he proclaimed,
“Lazarus, arise,” in love he called my name.
Death’s chains shattered, no longer held in its claim.
With his power, I rose. Alive from the grave I came.
(Verse 3)
All night under moon’s glow, I cast nets in vain,
I returned to the shore having nothing gained.
Jesus while teaching, entered my boat for space
“Go out, let down your nets,” he urged with grace.
At first I protested. But because of him I obeyed.
My nets overflowed with so much fish they frayed.
I pushed Jesus away, overwhelmed by my sin
But in love he called, “Simon, follow me. Fish for men.”
(Chorus)
Like Mary, Lazarus, and Simon, you are called
To an abiding peace, reconciled with God,
To his divine power over sin and death,
To a better purpose seeking others to bless.
(Outro)
He yearns to pull you near, his joy to impart.
His love whispers your name, to renew your heart.
Confess your failings, grasp his hand, receive his all.
Walk with Him, helping others answer his call.
Only with Jesus
by Mark Greenelsh ©2024
Jesus makes it possible for anyone to know God and inherit eternal life. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6, NIV). Only with Jesus can your soul be saved and satisfied.

(Verse 1)
Lost in a world of confusion and pain,
Trying to find love, but searching in vain.
Street corner passion or photos on screen,
Nothing compares to God’s love supreme.
(Verse 2)
Running from your problems only causes more.
Anger and revenge never settle scores.
A needle or a bottle cannot heal your soul.
Turn to Jesus, only he can make you whole.
(Chorus)
Jesus, the way, the truth, and the life.
Only in His love, will you survive.
Your soul will find fulfillment, deep within.
Jesus is calling you to live with him.
(Bridge)
Life isn’t found in the abundance of things.
Receive all you need from Jesus, the King.
Break chains of hatred, forgive and be free.
Exchange any fear for his abiding peace.
(Verse 3)
Truth isn’t relative, as some people cite,
For Jesus is the answer to all that’s good and right.
Seek him with passion, let his wisdom guide.
He’ll transform your heart, and renew your mind.
(Chorus)
Jesus, the way, the truth, and the life.
Only in His love, will you survive.
Your soul will find fulfillment, deep within.
To save you, Jesus died and rose again.
(Outro)
Take his hand, for abundant life awaits.
Trust and follow him, trust and follow him.
Trust and follow him, ever blessed by his grace.

The simple joy of walking life together.
___________________________________
(Verse 1)
Amidst the hustle, we find our peace.
Walking hand in hand, love’s sweet release.
The sun above, a warm embrace,
Basking in the present at this slower pace.
(Chorus)
Our journey together, a gracious blessing.
We share our tears and overcome in testing.
Arm in arm on life’s winding road.
With you by my side, I’m forever home.
(Verse 2)
Resting on a bench, in the park so fair.
Melodies of birds, floating through the air.
An older couple strolls by, happy and free.
We talk of the future, our goals, and dreams.
(Chorus)
(Verse 3)
A sweet surprise, from the ice cream stand.
It’s always fun to do something unplanned.
White picket fences, we smell a pink lily.
We dream of a house and raising a family.
(Bridge)
As the day fades, and we must depart.
Our souls remain tied, never to part.
Each step we’ve taken, each memory we hold,
We’re writing our story, with more to be told.
(Chorus)
Beyond Sand’s Castle
by Mark Greenelsh ©2024
True life is found in knowing God and not in life’s fleeting pleasures. So invest in what draws you closer to him and not in what drags you away.

(Verse 1)
Time slips through your fingers like sand
Building empires that will not stand
While endless blessings from God abound
In serving first his kingdom crown.
(Verse 2)
What gain is there in temporal worth
When we’re but pilgrims here on earth?
Real life flows from His embrace
Walking daily in His grace.
(Chorus)
The wise one gives what he cannot keep
To gain what he cannot lose.
Place your faith in God to reap
A fortress of life forever true.
(Verse 3)
Invest in all that draws you near
To the One who holds your moments dear
Not with fleeting pleasures that fade
But lasting joy with him each day.
(Verse 4)
Pour out your gifts in Heaven’s name
Not for power, wealth, or fame.
Help others follow His light
Instead of empty days that fade to night.
(Bridge)
Between two worlds you daily stand
One rock divine, one shifting sand.
Choose this day whom you will serve.
Cross into life or wander in the dust.
Or wander in the dust.
(Chorus)
The wise one gives what he cannot keep
To gain what he cannot lose.
Place your faith in God to reap
A fortress of life forever true.
Take My Hand

(Verse 1)
As you step from the car, I reach out with care.
Your warm hand in mine, a moment to treasure.
We climb up the hill, the path slick with dew
I steady your steps, this view is for two.
(Verse 2)
In the soft candlelight, I ask for this dance.
Your fingers entwine mine, lost in romance.
The river rages on, but I help you across.
In your times of need, I bear any cost.
(Chorus)
Take my hand, love, through all that we face
In joy and in sorrow, in every new place
I’ll be right beside you, together we’ll stand.
Just reach out, my darling, and take my hand.
(Verse 3)
You close your eyes, by your hand I guide
To fulfill your desire—a brand new ride.
When you fall or get stuck, I pull you free
With clasped hands, we hail your new degree.
(Bridge)
On the day that we wed, I slip on your ring.
In sickness and health, to your hand I cling.
Through the pain of labor, I’m your support.
United in prayer, our bond can’t be thwarted.
(Chorus)
Take my hand, love, through all that we face
In joy and in sorrow, in every new place
I’ll be right beside you, together we’ll stand.
Just reach out, my darling, and take my hand.
(Verse 4)
More than my hand, I give you my all.
As we take God’s hand, answering His call.
Our fingers intertwined, on this journey of love
Guided by faith and our Father above.
(Outro)
Take my hand, take my heart, take all that I am.
Together with God, we’ll discover His plan.

Be ashamed of evil and turn from it. “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls” (Jeremiah 6:16).
___________________________________
(Verse 1)
Look deep within your soul, my friend.
See the darkness that you cannot mend.
Be ashamed of evil. It cuts like a knife.
Causing you pain, draining your life.
(Verse 2)
Change is needed, but it’s beyond your grasp.
Only Jesus offers life that lasts.
Confess your wrongdoing, let go of your pride.
Accept his grace. He will heal your divide.
(Chorus)
Deny yourself. Trust in God and obey.
Rely on him, as you grow each day.
Let him transform you, to become like Christ.
Walk in his love, in his peace and light.
(Bridge)
Ask God to guide your every step,
To help you face evil, its grip to upset.
Replace it with goodness, with love and what’s right.
Living for Jesus, by his grace and might.
(Verse 3)
The Savior is coming, His return is near.
Put others first, serve their needs, wipe their tears.
Help them find Jesus, follow His way.
For His kingdom is coming, a glorious day.
(Chorus)
Silver Lining

God brings beauty from ashes, light from darkness, and life from death. Through faith in him you can experience blessing and growth amidst adversity.

(Verse 1)
When the world feels heavy, and the path is unclear,
Remember, dear friend, that hope is still near.
For in the midst of our darkest trials and strife,
Lies renewal in God, the promise of new life.
(Chorus)
Look for what’s right amidst what’s wrong.
In adversity, you can still find a song.
Don’t grumble or scream when life’s unfair.
Sing of what’s good through faith and prayer.
(Verse 2)
The storms may rage, the winds may blow,
But deep within, a light still glows.
For in the depths of great suffering and pain,
Lies the chance with God to heal and to gain.
(Chorus)
(Bridge)
When the world seems dark, and the future is bleak,
Look for the silver linings, the blessings to seek.
There’s comfort and lessons to receive and bestow,
Character to forge, and friendships to grow.
(Chorus)
(Outro)
So let us walk life’s path, in God’s power and grace.
Towards a brighter future, hoping in him each day.

(Verse 1)
In nature’s vast and endless art,
God’s glory shines in every part,
From whispers of the gentle breeze,
To mountains tall and roaring seas.
(Chorus)
But in the hearts of those who seek
His face, his love, his grace unique
He paints a portrait, stroke by stroke,
A masterpiece, his love evokes.
(Verse 2)
The sunset’s gold, the ocean’s blue,
The vibrant life in every hue,
All tell a story of his might,
But faith unveils a deeper sight.
(Chorus)
For in the hearts of those who seek
His face, his love, his grace unique
He paints a portrait, stroke by stroke,
A masterpiece, his love evokes.
(Bridge)
As souls surrender to His grace,
He molds them to reflect His face,
A transformation, saved from sin,
His likeness, shining from within.
(Chorus)
For in the hearts of those who seek
His face, his love, his grace unique
He paints a portrait, stroke by stroke,
A masterpiece, his love evokes.
(Outro)
From nature’s canvas to the humble soul,
God’s glory shines, His love makes whole,
In those who trust, He leaves His trace,
Eternal life full of peace and grace.
